The Oregonian Article

The Oregonian ran the story today about drug repositories. The article was by Don Colburn - he interviewed me last week. Here's the link:

Please help support the bill!

The idea of a drug repository is a wonderful idea. Is this only being introduced in Oregon or is this nationwide? Couldn't quite get the gist of it from the article.

Fantastic that you testified, Dee. Way to go

Hi Liz,
This is only being introduced in Oregon. It's not nationwide as far as I know. I don't have that kind of political pull nationally! Didn't realize that it would go as easily as it has for Oregon, that's for sure.
Take care!

You were fantastic! The bill isn't officially out of the committee yet, but I expect it will be.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful idea, and for your heartfelt testimony. I am so appreciative that you came up during your recovery, and I hope you are taking extra time to rest after all the excitement.

I'll be sure to let you know when the bill gets to the floor!

Hi Sara,
Thank you! I have been resting and the fact that my son has been home with a fever these past few days has helped me to take it easy.

It's an important issue so I was happy to testify. It did seem that it would go through the committee with no problems. Will it help to testify again when it gets to the floor? I will also try to ask folks that I know to send letters to the editor in support of the bill. I have those email addresses in my office . . .
Thanks for sponsoring the bill!
