Another Trip to the ER

Good Morning or Evening , whenever you happen to read this. I just wanted to say that the furnace is working again, which is nice.

My appetite hasn't picked up yet. My sister and the doctors convinced me to go up to the ER, so now I have another ER visit that I have to pay for out of pocket. But in the end they gave me a different anti-nausea pill and said you can feel nauseous like that after you've had enemas. I see Dr. Kay on Tuesday, but I'm not quite sure what I'm going to say. I have half a mind to skip my treatment this Friday. I just don't know if I can handle the Gemzar and more nausea. I really need to get my appetite back, so I don't know what I'm going to do.

Hope you're all having a good evening, and I'll talk to you soon.

I hope you feel much better by now and that you are well enough to have your treatment. We need you to get better!
I am sending you get well hugs.

Dee, re: skipping treatment. You know I support whatever you decide to do but I gotta say, there's something to be said for quality-of-life, yes? And it sounds like you could use some relief from the nausea. I know doctors are experts blah blah blah. But sometimes I feel as though their "goals" do not always match completely with our own.

I just want you to have a good day, however you define that. Actually, I want you to have a BETTER day than some of the ones you've been having!

I will conclude by saying: "SLIZIN"!!! (That's gotta be a good sign, yes?!) Sending you a squeeze and deep and abiding sympathy and concern. And yet, for some reason, I'm smiling as I type this and I'm not sure why. But I am. Take good care. j

There is an anti-nausea medication with THC (found in marijuana but without having to smoke it.). I've heard of people having success with it plus it has an appetite stimulant effect too. Might be worth a try so you wouldn't have to stop treatment due to these issues.

Good luck!
